1,100,668. Photographic apparatus. INTERNATIONAL POLAROID CORPORATION. March 22, 1965 [April 8, 1964], No. 2849/67. Divided out of 1,100,666. Heading G2A. A photographic apparatus (e. g. a self-processing camera) has first and second housing sections joined by a hinge 16, and a pair of juxtaposed pressure applying rollers 82, 84 for superposing successive exposed portions of a photo-sensitive sheet 42 with an image receiving sheet 50, and distributing a processing liquid therebetween. Pressure roller 82 is mounted on a member 96 which is movably mounted on a first suppport 56 attached to the first housing section, and pressure roller 84 is mounted on a support 58 attached to the second housing section, the two sections being releasably held together by pins (66) on support 56 engaging slots 78 in support 58; roller 82 is biased towards roller 84 by means of springs 103 which abut a wall 64 of support 56 and engage the movable members 96 on which is mounted roller 82; roller 82 is held adjacent to roller 84 by stub shafts (90) thereon which engage slots (80) in support 58, but the rollers may be separated to enable the sheets 42 and 50 to be loaded into the camera by rotating a lever 114 which is attached by a shaft 112 to a cam 110 which moves member 96 away from roller 84 against the action of springs 103. The apparatus may be used in conjunction with the indexing mechanism described and claimed in Specification 1,100,668.
