Abstract

1,076,372. Transistor oscillators. SIEMENS A.G. Feb. 9, 1965 [Feb. 10, 1964], No. 5501/65. Heading H3T. In a transistor oscillator having its frequency determined by a transmission line Z the operating frequency is maintained independent of temperature variations by connecting stabilizing elements, such as temperature-sensitive capacitors C2, C3 to intermediate points on the line. Each capacitor has a negative temperature coefficient and is arranged so as to be ineffective for a certain frequency at a point on the transmission line at which a voltage null occurs for this frequency; one of the other capacitors providing the temperature stability for this frequency. The frequency of the oscillator is varied by capacitor C4 and capacitors C2 and C3 are arranged to be effective at high and low frequencies respectively. The oscillator can be employed in a self-oscillating mixer circuit in a U.H.F. tuner.
