[Also in Division G1] In an adhesive applicator the level in a reservoir 31 is kept constant by means of a roller 4a which causes the valve 16a to open when the level of adhesive in the reservoir 31 falls below the level of the roller. The adhesive is picked up on roller 41 and coated on a material which passes between roller 41 and pressure roller 42. The adhesive is kept above its melting temperature by heater 48 controlled by thermostat 49.
