Abstract

[Also in Division B8] Steam cured, aerated concrete blocks formed by cutting a moulded unit 10 are separated by rollers 16, 17 driven at a greater speed than rollers 14, 15, the separation being aided if the roller 16 has a speed greater than the roller 17. The rollers 14, 16 are carried by hydraulically pivotable arms 18, 19 and the roller 16 is raised automatically when no block is beneath it. A discharge conveyer 13 may be dispensed with and the blocks palleted immediately after separation.
