Abstract

Methods (400, 600) and communication devices (100a, 100b) for enabling recognition of the first communication device (100a), by a second communication device (100b) which is sharing a secret value (SSV) with the first communication device (100a). The method (400) comprises the steps of: obtaining (401) a public identity reference (ID1) of the first communication device (100a); generating (402) a hash comprising the obtained (401) public identity reference (ID1) and the shared secret value (SSV); and sending (403) a message (M1) comprising the obtained (401) public identity reference (ID1) and the generated (402) hash, thereby enabling the second communication device (100b) to recognise the first communication device (100a).
