Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for facilitating safely controlling vehicle operation of a vehicle. Said vehicle operation comprises a manual drive operation mode, an assisted drive operation mode and autonomous drive operation mode. The method comprises the step of shifting (MS1, MS2, MS3, MS4) between manual drive operation mode and autonomous drive operation mode by means of a mode selection actuator arrangement, said shifting step being performed according to an escalating/deescalating scale of vehicle operation mode functionality in so far that said mode selection actuator arrangement is configured such that said shifting (MS1, MS2, MS3, MS4) always is performed via said assisted drive operation mode.The present invention also relates to a system for facilitating safely controlling vehicle operation. The present invention also relates to a vehicle.
