Abstract

The system has a fuel tank (310) containing fuel, and a fuel supply line arrangement for supplying fuel from the fuel tank to an internal combustion engine (320). A fuel return line arrangement returns non-combustible fuel from the internal combustion engine to the fuel tank. A discharge tank (330) is connected to the fuel return line arrangement such that a portion of the non-combustible fuel is held extractable in the fuel tank to avoid that the non-combustible fuel enters again into the engine. An independent claim is also included for a fuel management method.
