Abstract

A plate-shaped element (1), for example a lid for an upwardly open container. The element has through openings (2), through which cup-shaped elements (5, 6) extend. The cup-shaped elements can, for example, form guides toward the side walls of the container in the corners between these. The cup-shaped elements consist of an upper cup (5), having a flange (7) bearing against the top side of the plate-shaped element, and a lower locking element (6), having a flange (14) bearing against the bottom side of the plate-shaped element. The cup and the locking element are fixed to each other with the aid of snap-locking members (13, 21), which are configured on the cup and the locking element and cooperate with each other and which are characterized in that they are situated at a substantial distance from the edge of the associated opening, thereby resulting in a long deformation section between the snap-locking members (13, 21) and said upper and lower flanges (7, 14).
