Abstract

The invention concerns a method and an arrangement for a sorting arrangement, in particular for a sorting drum at a mail sorting facility, in which items of mail are fed with the aid of a feed belt (1) into one end wall of a rotating separation drum (4), where incoming items of mail are given a velocity and thus a spreading along the axial direction of the drum (4) in that they are fed from the feed belt (1) over a glide arrangement (9) arranged extending into the drum and tilted downwards from the feed belt (1).
