Abstract

A method and a device for removing broke, after a web break or the like, in a plant (1) enclosed in a housing (2), for drying of a web-formed material (12), comprising blow boxes arranged in a plurality of drying decks. The web-formed material (12) changes its machine direction between the drying decks, when passing over turning rolls (4), which during normal operation are running freely but which during, for example, threading are driven, against which the web-formed material (12) is pressed by the tension in the web only. An opening (3a) is made in the wall (2a) of the housing (2), such that at least one turning roll (4) becomes accessible, and a press roller, a press wheel, or the like, (5) is applied such that the web-formed material (12) is pressed against this turning roll (4). Thereafter, the web-formed material (12) is fed forward by running the drive system of the turning rolls (4) at a low speed, and the web-formed material (12) is fed out of the housing (2) through the opening (3a).
