Abstract
Linear block polymer (A) having a molecular weight of at least 10000 Dalton comprising internally linearly connected sequences (1), is new. Linear block polymer (A) having a molecular weight of at least 10000 Dalton comprising internally linearly connected sequences of formula (1), is new: R1 = segment of formula Y-C(R4)2 (1a); Y = R5-Z; R5 = 0-6C alkyl; Z = (un)protected functional group such as hydroxyl, amino, carboxyl, thiol, cyano or nitro group; R4 = 1-6C alkyl; R2 = group derived from diisocyanate and optionally comprising ester groups; R3 = group derived from polyester diol, polyether diol or monodiol comprising optional ester groups and has formula -R6-(O-R6)m- (1b); R6 = 2-4C alkyl; m = 1 - 6; n = 10 - 1000; and provided that when 100% of R1 does not comprise (1a), R1 does not comprise a segment derived from aliphatic or aromatic diamines. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) preparation of (A); and (2) fractional precipitation of (A).
