Abstract

A flow direction (1, 2) for liquid or gas deviates from the filter thickness direction (3t) and corresponds substantially to the lateral direction of the filter (3a, 3b, 4a, 4b). A filter device for a liquid and/or gas transports the liquid or gas in essentially one direction through located regions which reduce in size in the flow direction and contain filters for removing particles. The filters each have a lateral dimension which is greater than their thickness, and they are arranged one above the other in an offset manner in order to create particle collection regions in between. The flow direction for the liquid or gas deviates from the filter thickness direction and corresponds substantially to the lateral direction of the filter.
