Claims (11)

b) a second sponge opposite and moved toward the first sponge in the closed position, the second sponge has a substantially flat portion of the front surface, the second sponge also having a welding element protruding from the middle of the second sponge and a beveled protrusion protruding from the substantially flat part of the front surface longitudinally along at least part of the substantially flat part of the front surface of the second sponge, a beveled protrusion is located on the lower part of the second sponge and bevels outward from the essentially flat part of the central surface of the second jaw towards the beveled protrusion of the first sponge, the beveled protrusions of the first and second jaws are located to capture the base of the crest of the container with a gable top to form a crease in the base of the crest at the transition between the crest and the inclined panels, and the amount to which the beveled protrusions protrude from the respective essentially flat parts of the front surfaces, less than the size to which the welding element protrudes from the essentially flat parts of the front surface of the second sponge, thereby forcing with the protruding protrusions apply less pressure to the flange than that which the welding element applies when the first and second jaws are in the closed position.

b) a second sponge located opposite and capable of moving toward the first sponge in a closed position, the second sponge has a substantially flat portion of the front surface, the second sponge also having a welding element protruding from the middle of the second sponge and a bevel protruding outwardly protruding from of the substantially flat portion longitudinally along at least a portion of the substantially flat front surface of the second jaw, a beveled protrusion is located on the bottom of the second jaw and is beveled from the essentially flat portion of the front the second sponge and protrudes towards the beveled protrusion of the first sponge, the beveled protrusions of each of the first and second sponges are located to capture the base of the crest of the container with a gable top to form a crease in the base of the crest at the transition between the crest and the inclined surfaces, while the beveled protrusions apply less force to ridge than that which is applied by the welding element when the first and second jaws move to the closed position.
