Abstract

Method consists in introducing reducing agent into water followed by reducing nitrates and nitrites on catalyst, wherein, as reducing agent, ferrous ions and, as catalyst, supercarbon are utilized. Reducing agent may be introduced by way of adding water into anode space of electrolyzer with iron or carbon steel electrodes. EFFECT: simplified process.
