Двухзонный электрофильтр относится к устройствам для очистки воздуха от твердых и жидких частиц с помощью электрического поля коронного разряда, тонкой очистки от аэрозолей и токсичных газов наполнителем, помещенным в электростатическое поле. Электрофильтр представляет собой последовательно расположенные по ходу воздуха в общем корпусе ионизатор, осадитель и электростатический фильтр. Ионизатор состоит из заземленных параллельных пластин, между которыми расположены коронирующие электроды. Осадитель представляет собой набор чередующихся потенциальных и заземленных параллельных пластин. Электростатический фильтр выполнен в виде потенциального и заземленных электродов, каждый из которых состоит из чередующихся проницаемых и непроницаемых перегородок, установленных поперек направления движения воздуха в электрофильтре, причем проницаемые перегородки потенциального электрода установлены против непроницаемых перегородок заземленного электрода.
