При подаче на один из осцилляторов высокочастотного напряжения соответствующий ротор вращается в ту или противоположную сторону, увлекая за собой тела качения и приводя во вращение выходной вал. При одновременном включении обоих осцилляторов частота вращения ротора составит алгебраическую полусумму частот вращения роторов.
