In accessory (1) for a vacuum cleaner, containing suction hole (3) and fluff collection device (5) on the side of suction hole (3), fluff collection device (5) is installed in a recessed part having a plurality of edges (7a - 7d) along the lines at an angle of 20 to 70° to longitudinal axis (A - A) of suction opening (3), which form edges pointed towards suction opening (3). The fluff collection device preferably comprises a plurality of triangular-shaped elements (5a - 5d). The fluff collection device preferably comprises a plurality of elements (5a - 5d) which have the first and the second boundaries along the lines at an angle of 20 to 70° to longitudinal axis (A - A) of suction opening (3), and the angle between the first and the second boundaries does not exceed 120°. In another aspect of the invention, a vacuum cleaner is proposed, comprising a suction unit and a nozzle adapted to be attached to the suction unit, the nozzle being formed by such accessory (1) for a vacuum cleaner.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to an accessory for a vacuum cleaner, i.e. to a vacuum cleaner attachment if the vacuum cleaner has a separate attachment, or to a robot vacuum cleaner that has a built-in attachment. The invention also relates to a vacuum cleaner equipped with a vacuum cleaner attachment.

BACKGROUND OF THE ART

WO0226097 discloses a floor tool for use in vacuuming floor surfaces that includes a pad having a suction channel. The suction channel is limited on at least one side by a working edge for interaction with the floor surface. The lint collection devices are located next to the suction channel and are separated from the suction channel by a working edge. Devices for collecting lint are installed on the surface of the floor tool, inclined relative to the plane in which the working edges lie. A lint catcher is a strip of material that holds many tufts of fine hair. All beams are aligned in the same direction relative to the sole. The lint catcher acts as a one-way gate, allowing lint to pass underneath when the floor tool is pushed across the floor and blocking lint when the floor tool is pulled back. The repeated movement of the floor tool back and forth across the floor surface catches the lint and rolls it into a ball that can be sucked up by the floor tool. Each lint collection device is installed within a recessed portion of the sole. However, the selection efficiency of such tools is limited.

DE102012010075 discloses a floor cleaning element (eg a floor nozzle) for use in a vacuum cleaner. The element has a front brush strip containing diagonal bristles, the free ends of which are oriented towards the middle of the receiving opening, and a rear brush strip narrower than the front brush strip in a direction transverse to the rear edge and/or the front edge. The front and rear suction channels are located between the front and rear edges and the front and rear brush strips, respectively. The front and rear suction channels respectively extend along the front and rear edges and are connected to the receiving opening to allow air flow.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

Among other things, an object of the invention is to provide an improved accessory for a vacuum cleaner. The invention is defined by independent claims. Preferred embodiments are defined in the dependent claims.

One aspect of the invention provides an accessory for a vacuum cleaner comprising a suction port and a lint collection device on a side of the suction port, the lint collection device being mounted in a recessed portion having a plurality of edges along lines at an angle of from 20° to 70° to the longitudinal axis of the suction opening, which form edges sharpened in the direction of the suction opening. The lint collection device preferably comprises a plurality of triangular shaped elements. The lint collection device preferably comprises a plurality of elements that have first and second boundaries along lines at an angle of 20° to 70° to the longitudinal axis of the suction opening, the angle between the first and second boundaries not exceeding 120°.

Without being limited by theory, one reason for the suboptimal performance of prior art tools may be that large dirt particles become stuck on the edge of the recessed portion of the soleplate in which the lint collection device is installed. If the recessed part has a plurality of edges along lines at an angle of 20° to 70° to the longitudinal axis of the suction opening, which form edges that are sharpened in the direction of the suction opening, large dirt particles can more easily escape from behind the edges, for example, due to the shape of the pointed elements, large dirt particles are collected on the points near the suction opening, so that other large dirt particles can push the large dirt particle through the edge so that it can be sucked through the suction opening.

In another aspect of the invention, there is provided a vacuum cleaner comprising a suction unit and a nozzle configured to be connected to the suction unit, the nozzle being formed by such a vacuum cleaner accessory.

These and other aspects of the invention will be apparent and explained with reference to the embodiments described below.

In fig. 1 and 2 show embodiments of an accessory for a vacuum cleaner according to the invention.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INVENTION

In fig. 1 is a bottom view of a vacuum cleaner accessory according to a first embodiment of the invention. Only the main elements are shown, and other elements not relevant to the present invention, such as wheels and brushes, are omitted. The vacuum cleaner accessory 1 (for example, a nozzle) has a suction port 3 and a lint collection device 5 having a plurality of triangular elements 5a - 5d pointed towards the suction port 3. In one embodiment, another similar lint collection device is located at the opposite end of the suction device. holes 3. Each triangular element 5a - 5d is installed in a corresponding recess having 3 edges, one of which (shown by a solid line) is parallel to the suction hole 3, and two of which (shown by dotted lines) with reference numerals 7a - 7d are oriented along the lines under an angle from 20° to 70° to the longitudinal axis A - A of the suction opening 3, while the angle between the first and second boundaries is 120°. Pairs of boundaries 7a - 7d form edges that are sharpened in the direction of the suction opening 3.

In fig. 2 is a bottom view of a vacuum cleaner accessory according to a second embodiment of the invention. Compared to FIG. 1, the lint collection device 5 has a plurality of rectangular members 5a to 5h pointed toward the suction opening 3. In this case, the recessed portion is formed by a plurality of recessed portions, each of which receives a corresponding one of the rectangular members 5a to 5h. Each rectangular element 5a - 5h is placed in a corresponding recessed portion, which has pairs of two edges 7a - 7h (out of four edges shown in dotted lines) that meet each other in the vicinity of the suction opening 3, thereby forming edges that are sharpened in the direction of the suction opening 3. These edges 7a - 7h are oriented along lines at an angle of 20° to 70° to the longitudinal axis A - A of the suction opening 3. The angle between the edges of each pair of edges 7a - 7h is 90°. In an alternative embodiment, the rectangular elements 5a - 5h do not have spaces between them, and then there may be a single recessed part in which the lint collection device 5 is located. In addition, the elements 5a - 5h may have a straight bottom border parallel to the bottom border of the vacuum cleaner accessory 1 (as in Fig. 1), and then the recessed part or parts receiving the elements 5a - 5h can also have a straight bottom border parallel to the bottom border of accessory 1 for the vacuum cleaner.

It should be noted that the above embodiments are illustrative rather than limiting of the present invention, and that those skilled in the art will be able to develop many alternative embodiments without departing from the scope of the appended claims. For example, the lint collection devices 5 may be mounted on the inclined portions of the sole of the nozzle 1, and the lint collection device 5 need not be in close proximity to the suction opening 3. For example, the flat portion of the sole of the nozzle may be in close proximity to the suction opening 3 , while the lint collection device 5 may be located on the inclined part of the sole near this flat part. The elements of the lint collection device 5 do not necessarily have to be separate elements; they may overlap and/or have a common base, provided that the parts are directed towards the suction opening 3. In the claims, any reference numerals placed in parentheses should not be considered as limiting the claims. The word “comprising” does not exclude the presence of elements or steps other than those listed in the claims. The grammatical form of the singular referring to an element does not exclude the presence of many such elements. The invention can be implemented using equipment containing several separate elements. In a device claim that enumerates several means, some of those means may be embodied by the same piece of equipment. The parameters set out in mutually different dependent claims can be used in combination to obtain a technical result.

Claims (6)

1. Accessory (1) for a vacuum cleaner, containing: suction port (3); a lint collecting device (5) on the side of the suction opening (3), wherein the lint collecting device (5) is installed in the recessed part, characterized in that the recessed part has a plurality of edges (7a - 7d, 7a - 7h), which in pairs form edges sharpened in the direction of the suction opening (3), while the edges in said pair run along lines located at angles facing each other , located in the range from 20 to 70° to the longitudinal axis (A - A) of the suction opening (3). 2. The vacuum cleaner accessory according to claim 1, wherein the lint collecting device comprises a plurality of triangular shaped lint collecting elements (5a - 5d). 3. The vacuum cleaner accessory according to claim 1, wherein the lint collecting device comprises a plurality of lint collecting elements (5a - 5d, 5a - 5h) which have first and second boundaries along said lines located at mutually facing angles, located in the range from 20 to 70° to the longitudinal axis (A - A) of the suction opening (3), and the values of these angles are chosen in such a way that the angle between the first and second boundaries does not exceed 120°. 4. A vacuum cleaner comprising a suction unit and a nozzle configured to be connected to the suction unit, the nozzle being formed by an accessory (1) for a vacuum cleaner according to any of the preceding paragraphs.
