 The invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry.

 Known means for the prevention and treatment of diseases of the oral cavity in the form of rinses, dental elixirs, applications containing bioactive additives of plant origin (extracts of oak bark, aspen bark, St. John's wort, chamomile, etc.), glycerin, some synthetic components, ethyl alcohol and water. These include "Bioelixir" containing propolis, the elixir "Health", containing an extract of oak bark and St. John's wort (Fedorov Yu. A. Hygienic means for caring for the oral cavity.-L. 1984, p. 68 70), dental elixir " Aspen "with an aqueous extract of aspen bark (ed. St. N 1814553, BI N 17, 1993).

 The disadvantages of these products include the content in them, along with natural components of such synthetic substances as sodium lauryl sulfate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, preservatives, which also give an unpleasant aftertaste to the products used. Means are multicomponent, which complicates their manufacture.

 Known means "Fitolon" and "Fitolon-M" containing only one bioadditive of plant origin, where copper derivatives of chlorophyll are used as bioadditives, and ethyl alcohol is used as a solvent and preservative. The product can be produced in the Fitolon-M modification, which in addition to chlorophyll and ethyl alcohol derivatives contains a food flavoring. Means "Fitolon" and "Fitolon-M for the prevention of malignant neoplasms" (Application N 93019881 from 05.20.93, MKI A 61 K / 14) is used to prevent cancer and increase the body's resistance in extreme conditions.

"Fitolon-M" has a pleasant mint aroma and is used internally by 25 30 drops per glass of water 2 3 times a day. However, Fitolon and Fitolon-M are not used for the treatment and prevention of diseases of the oral cavity.

The composition “Chlorophyll” is intended for use as a flavoring, coloring agent for food products and treatment and prophylactic additives, the action of which is aimed at the prevention and treatment of pathological processes associated with the effects of adverse environmental factors - ionizing radiation, radionuclides, carcinogens and salts of heavy metals. The use of the composition for the prevention and treatment of diseases of the oral cavity is a new direction, previously not known either for Fitolona-M or for the food composition Chlorophyll.

 The aim of the invention is the use of food aromatic composition "Chlorophyll" for a new purpose.

 This goal is achieved using the food composition "Chlorophyll" as a means for the treatment and prevention of diseases of the oral cavity.

 New useful, previously unknown properties of the Chlorophyll composition were revealed during preclinical trials at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of the St. Petersburg Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (MAPO), in which it was shown that the mouth rinse (irrigation) composition in an appropriate dilution of 3 5 ml (60 - 100 drops) per 150 200 ml of water does not have a toxic, irritating, allergenic or other adverse effect. It was found that the systematic treatment of the oral cavity of animals (Wistar rats) with the Chlorophyll composition helped to reduce inflammation in the gums and reduce the atrophy of the alveolar process.

 The conclusions obtained during the preclinical trials were confirmed by volunteer tests by the staff of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of MAPO and the base clinic (23 people), who rinsed the oral cavity with a solution of the Chlorophyll composition in a dilution of 3 5 ml per 150 200 daily for 35–40 days ml of water at least 2 times a day. Clinical trials have shown that the taste, refreshing and deodorizing properties of the tested composition are good (4.8 ± 0.2 points). A significant decrease in inflammatory phenomena, bleeding gums, the regenerative effect of the composition on periodontal tissue was noted. The results are confirmed by objective tests and organoleptic. The effectiveness of the composition "Chlorophyll" exceeds the beneficial effect of similar formulations with other herbal supplements. The data presented are supported by the following specific examples.

The composition "Chlorophyll" in an amount of 3 to 5 ml is dissolved in 150 to 200 ml of warm water and rinsed with this solution daily in the oral cavity, at least 2 times a day for 35 to 40 days. A group of volunteers (23 people) suffering from periodontal disease was selected. As a result of the application, inflammation and bleeding of the gums decreased, and healing in periodontal tissues intensified. This is confirmed by objective tests: the Schiller-Pisarev test - sharply positive at the beginning of almost all those observed by the end of treatment, remained only in 2 people weakly positive (9.2%). Hygiene indices decreased significantly: from 2.88 ± 0.8 to 1.52 ± 0.2 points, PMA index: from 28.5 ± 0.9% to 8.5 ± 0.6%, microcirculation in gum tissues improved, which confirms the increase in the resistance of capillaries by 30 32%

Patient K., 39 years old, suffers from chronic catarrhal gingivitis, complaints of bleeding, hyperemia, itching, swelling of the gums. Objective examination results: hygiene index 2.1 points, Schiller-Pisarev test - positive, PMA index 38.2%, resistance of gingival capillaries 23 s.

 After removing dental plaque, a course of treatment was carried out with a solution containing the Chlorophyll food composition in the amount of 10 15 ml per 100 150 ml of water in the form of daily rinses, at least 2 3 times a day. Two weeks after the prescribed treatment, the gum condition improved significantly: bleeding, itching disappeared; pain and the phenomena of acute inflammation (Schiller-Pisarev test became negative), the hygiene index decreased to 1.9 points. By the end of the course (30 days), these indicators returned to normal: hygiene index 1.3 points, RMA index 10.1% Schiller-Pisarev test became negative, and the resistance of the gingival capillaries reached 48 s.

Patient E., 65 years old, suffers from generalized periodontitis, complaints of swelling of the gums, frequent bleeding, severe hyperemia, itching, soreness when eating, bad breath. Objective examination results: hygiene index 2.8 points, Schiller-Pisarev test sharply positive, PMA index 39.6%, resistance of gingival capillaries 26 s. There is a characteristic plaque indicating a combined fungal infection of the oral cavity.

 After removing the dental plaque, the applications were prescribed with a solution containing the Chlorophyll food composition (5 ml per 50 ml of water) for 12 days; mouth rinses with the same composition were prescribed 2 times a day. After 16 days of using this solution, the gum condition improved significantly: the patient practically made no complaints, bleeding and whitish bloom, itching, soreness and inflammation disappeared, hyperemia decreased sharply (Schiller-Pisarev test became negative), the hygiene index decreased to 1.6 points . After 40 days of follow-up, signs of improvement in periodontal conditions continued to grow: there were no complaints, the hygiene index dropped to 1.4 points, the PMA index left 10.1% of the Schiller-Pisarev test was negative, hyperemia disappeared completely, and the resistance of the gingival capillaries reached 48 s, the smell disappeared from my mouth.

 Thus, the above examples indicate that the use of the Chlorophyll composition (in its various versions) significantly improves tissue trophism and microcirculation in periodontal tissues, relieves gum bleeding and inflammation in the mouth, deodorizes and destroys bad breath.

 The food composition "Chlorophyll" is recommended for the prevention of periodontal disease and oral mucosa, as well as to eliminate bleeding gums and deodorization of the oral cavity.
