Уротропин представляет собой бесцветные легкорастворимые в воде кристаллы. Этот препарат широко используется в лечебных целях, как средство, обладающее антисептическими свойствами. Принимают его внутрь в виде таблеток или уколов. Известно применение уротропина в виде водного раствора для протирания кожи при повышенной потливости, т.е. как дезодорирующее и дезинфицирующее средство. Однако, оно вызывает раздражение кожи. Использование уротропина в составе косметических средств, предназначенных для ухода за кожей лица, из источников научно-технической информации неизвестно. Введение в состав средства для ухода за угристой кожей лица уротропина, обладающего хорошими антимикробными свойствами, обуславливает повышение противовоспалительного действия средства. При использовании средства согласно примеру 5 срок лечения составляет 1-1,5 месяца (как и в примерах 1-3), однако при этом наблюдается раздражение кожи в виде красных пятен.
