A method of restoring the functions of the nervous system in case of damage, characterized in that they preliminarily determine the severity of the dysfunction and, after establishing indications for electrical stimulation, conduct a series of percutaneous electrical stimulation sessions using multi-contact electrodes, their contacts being arranged in accordance with the localization of the affected areas of the nervous system, which are subject to activation, and electrical stimulation modes are selected individually at each contact, depending on the initial state the corresponding section of the activated region is placed before each session to obtain exposure to weak electric impulses that are adequate to the biocurrents of the central nervous system, taking into account the dynamics of the state of damaged functions, while electrical stimulation is performed by applying a series of bipolar rectangular pulses with a voltage of (2 ÷ 12) V to each contact pulse repetition rate (10 ÷ 20) Hz, phase duration 5 ms, the number of pulses in a packet 2 ÷ 7, the number of series 2 ÷ 7, the duration of the series (70 ÷ 90) s, the interval between the packets (1 2), the pause between series (1-1.5) min.
