Abstract
Multifunctional antistatic epoxy floor covering, additional to mechanical and chemical protective function of the concrete floor, is also conductive, antibacterial and steam permeable. It consists of conductive water-dilutive epoxy coating and covered two component epoxy layer. Copper tape functions as a connecting system with the earthing and continuous elimination of static electricity.Conductive water-dilutive coating ensures adhesion with the floor and uniform conductivity of the entire surface. Electrical conductivity of the coating is achieved in such a manner where the electrically conductive carbon black is added to the epoxy matrix.Covered two component epoxy layer contains epoxy resin and amine hardener. Electrically conductive fillers are carbon fibres, whereas antibacterial property enables added additive that contains silver in ionic form. Other components are filers, rheological additive, pigments, defoamer, additive for fluidity. Antistatic epoxy floor system has an adjustable electric resistance (104-106 Ω) or (106-108 Ω) depending on the request. Thickness of the antistatic floor is not limited, and it can be in the dimensions from 1 to 5mm.
