Abstract

The electrolyte comprises sodium hydroxide 100-120, zinc oxide 6-12, triethanolamine 20-35 g/litre, and brightener (I) 5-15 ml and brightener (II) 0.2-2 ml/litre. Brightener (I) consists of benzene chloride 37.55, hexamethylene tetramine 52.5, sodium hydroxide 11.78, epichlorohydrin 35 and nicotinic acid 36.19 g/litre. Brightener (II) has vinyl polyacetate 30, perhydral (30%) 40 g/litre and glacial acetic acid 200ml/litre.
