DESCRIÇÃO
CAMPO DA INVENÇÃO ii A presente invenção refere-se aos ϋ agrafadores cirúrgicos. Mais particularmente, a presente injj venção refere-se a bolsas aperfeiçoadas usadas para guiar os !! agrafos quando são cravados a bigorna num agrafador cirúrgico.

j FUNDAMENTO DA INVENÇÃO i lj
Presentemente, nos agrafadores cirúrjj gicos os agrafos passam através de bolsas de guia por meio de ;
um propulsor para uma superfície de modelação. Estas bolsasj são geralmente canais compridos rectangulares através dos ; quais passam os agrafos num estado não modelado. Uma bolsa, adapta-se à forma da secção genericamente rectangular do pro-j *| pulsor. Quando o grampo passa através da bolsa pela força do.

propulsor, sle é guiado para baixo no canal da bolsa e para sobre a bigorna do agrafador, á na bigorna que o propulsor do agrafo modela este. 0 propulsor mantém-se no canal da bolsa durante a modelação do grampo. 0 intervalo entre o propulsor e a bigorna é ajustado de modo que geralmente a maior parte do intervalo é preenchida pela agrafo.
Geralmente, as bolsas usadas actualmente têm uma forma rectangular , isto é, há geralmente dois primeiros lados paralelos que sao modelados ao longo do comprimento do agrafo não modelado. Estes dois primeiros lados paralelos são encontrados por um segundo par de lados paralelos perpendicularmente. Este segundo par de lados paralelos geralmente corresponde à largura do agrafo e do propulsor do agrafo.
Porém, ouando o agrafo passa através da bolsa genericamente de forma rectangular, isso pode provocar a prisão do agrafador. Isso sucede quando o agrafo tiver sido carregado na bolsa segundo um certo ângulo relativamente aos lados genericamente paralelos da bolsa. Quando colocado segundo esse ângulo, o agrafo pode ser forçado pelo propulsor até que o agrafo fique entalado na bolsa de modelação dos agrafos ou é modelado na gbigorna de maneira incorrecta.
As bolsa para os agrafos com a forma actual têm outros inconvenientes, quer no processo de fabricação, quer na facilidade de operação. Devido ao facto de estas bolsas dos agrafos poderem potencialmente ser carregadas incorrectamente ou conduzir à prisão, é geralmente desejado manter tolerâncias, entre as bolsas de modelação e os agrafos, muito apertadas. Isso minimiza a probalidade de o agrafo ser carregado e guiado na bolsa de qualquer outra maneira que não seja a maneira correctamente alinhada. Porém quando assim se procede, é difícil fabricar consistentemente as bolsas dos agrafos com tais tolerâncias. Isso é muito dispendioso e consome muito tempo. Além disso, é muito mais difícil inspeccionar as bolsas aos agrafos para determinar se
foram mantidas as tolerâncias apropriadas, á claro que, se se mantiveram as tolerâncias apertadas, há também a possibilidade de as bolsas dos agrafos serem fabricadas demasiado pequenas para os agrafos.
Pinalmente, um outro inconveniente das bolsas os agrafos com a forma actual é que é difícil a sua carga com os agrafos. Isso é assim porque os agrafos que foram mal carregados ficam presos, nas bolsas, usualmente durante o contacto cora o propulsor do agrafo. Porque não é completamente determinável se os agrafos se prenderão nas bolsas as bolsas frequentemente reterão alguns agrafos.

A presente invenção vence estas e outras dificuldades que surgem com cs bolsas com a forma actual criando uma bolsa autocentrada cue é capaz de manter os agrafos no alinhamento correcto. Esta bolsa é também fácil de medir e fabricar. Essencialmente, a bolsa compreende um par de lados paralelos cada um deles ligados a um par de lados inclinados. Este par de lados inclinados culmina num segundo par de lados paralelos, situados perpendicularmente ao primeiro par de lados paralelos. Assim, a bolsa de guia aperfeiçoada toma uma forma genericamente hexagonal. É esta forma hexagonal que permite que o agrafo se centre no interior da bolsa,. Isto é, quando se carrega o agrafo para o interior do canal, o agrafo é encorajado a deslocar-se para uma posição alinhada ao longo do eixo do primeiro par de lados paralelos.

DESCRIÇÃO PORMENORIZADA
Como se vê nas fig. la-5a, as bolsas de guia dos agrafos da técnica anterior têm uma configuração para ter tolerâncias apertadas. Isso é devido principalmente à forma destas bolsas de guia. Geraimente, estas bolsas de guia serão formadas de modo que o agrafo possa ser carregado no interior da bolsa de guia de uma maneira. Se estas tolerâncias apertadas foram mantidas de acordo com a especificação, então as bolsas de guia são capazes de manter com precisão e guiar os agrafos. Porém, geraimente as bolsas serão formadas com uma maior tolerância que as dimensões dos agrafos. Quando isso se verificar, é possível que os agrafos fiquem apertados no interior sda bolsa de guia. Quando Isso ocorrer é evidente que isso retarda a utilização do agrafador porque o agrafo tem de ser evacuado da bolsa.
A presente invenção, como se vê nas fig. 1 a 5, vence esta dificuldade. A nova bolsa (10) tem um par de primeiros lados paralelos (12). Cada um destes lados paralelos (12) tem duas extremidades. Estas extremidades estão ligadas a um par de lados inclinados (14). Estes lados inclinados (14) estendem-se genericamente desde para além dos primeiros lados paralelos (12) m distância do comprimento ,5?^----

do agrafo, até um par de secundes lados paralelos (lo). Estes segundos lados paralelos (16) ligam-se aos dois pares de lados inclinados (14). Como se vê nas fig. 4 a 6, estas bolsas podem ser usadas no cartucho (30) de agrafos contendo bolsas (20). Os propulsores ((40) saem do cartucho de agrafos (30) de modo que os agrafos passam através das bolsas (20) para sobre a bigorna (50) do agrafador. As bolsas (20) são colocadas estrategicamente para criar o intervalo (G) de modelação dos agrafos que fará com que os agrafos sejam modelados até uma certa altura para se aproximar da pele a agrafar.
A bolsa resultante da presente invenção permite a autocentragem dos agrafos. Voltando às fig. 1 a 3, se o agrafo ficasse colocado na bolsa (10) ao longo dos lados inclinados (14) da bolsa (10), como se representa a tracejado (fig. l), o agrafo (10) rodaria automaticamente para o eixo apropriado de modo que se ajusta na bolsa de guia (10) correotamente, como se demonstra na bolsa adjacente na fig. 1,. Isso deve-se à geometria da bolsa segundo a presente invenção. 0 agrafo desliza contra os lados da parede da bolsa de guia de modo oue se alinha correotamente. Esta característica da bolsa é um aperfeiçoamento substancial em relação à bolsa anterior. Com a nova forma da bolsa, reduz-se a prisão, bem como a modelação incorrecta dos agrafos.

Também, a forma de realização aperfeiçoada da presente invenção torna muito mais fácil a medição das dimensões da bolsa. Estas bolsas podem adaptar-se a diâmetros dos arames dos ac;rafos geralmente na gama de 0,2 mm a 0,28 mm (0,008' a 0,011), embora se trate de dimensões críticas. É claro que o comprimento dos primeiros lados paralelos e dos lados inclinados podem ter qualauer valor exigido pura se adaptar a os agrafos cirúrgicos. Neste caso, o ângulo entre os primeiros lados paralelos e os lados inclinados e de cerca de 22, ã. É este o ângulo óptimo para asse
gurar o autoalinhamento segundo a presente invenção para uma cerra gama de diâmetros diferentes do arame dos agrafos.
Portanto, a presente invenção pode ser usada em todos os tipos ds agrafadores cirúrgicos para órgãos internos, em especial dos cartuchos RL 30V, PLG-5O e quaiquer cartuchos de 60 mm fabricados pela cessionária da presente invenção.
Embora esta invenção particular tenha sido descrita em ligação com a forma de realização actualmenre preferida, deve entender-se cue o seu alcance deve incluir quaiquer modificações da invenção que conduza substancialmente à realização das mesmas funções, substancialmente da mesma maneira. Além disso, reconhece-se oue a presente invenção está descrita em ligação com as reivindicações anexas.
Claims (1)
- - lâ Agrafador cue possui bolsas através das quais passam cravadores de arrafos adaptados para cravar agrafos não modelados, adaptando-se cada utna das bolsas referidas de um modo geral à forma de ua dos referidos agrafos não modelados, permitindo as referidas bolsas que os referidos cravadores posicionem os agrafos não modelados em bigornas para a modelação dos referidos agrafos, tendo uma das referidas bolsas primeiros lados paralelos correspondentes genericamente ao comprimento dos referidos agrafos não modelados, estando os referidos primeiros lados paralelos ligados por segundos lados paralelos para formar a bolsa, adaptando-se os segundos lados paralelos genericamente à largura dos agrafos não modelados, caracterizados pelo aperfeiçoamento que compreende a adição de um lado inclinado em cada extremidade de cada um dos primeiros lados paralelos, aproximando-se cada um dos referidos lados inclinados diagonalmente de um dos referidos segundos lados paralelos, sendo a bolsa resultante formada, de configuração genericamente hexagonal de modo que os agrafos no interior da referida bolsa tomam-se autoalinhados.- 2ã Agrafador compreendendo bolsas de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado por o referido aperfeiçoamento compreender além disso a formação dos referidos lados inclinados segundo ângulos na gama de cerca de 22,5°.Agrafador compreendendo bolsas de a7 cordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado por o referido aperfeiçoamento consistir no facto de os referidos segundos lados paralelos terem um comprimento de cerca 0,2 mm (0,008)._ 4ã _Agrafador compreendendo bolsas de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado por o referido aperfeiçoamento consistir ainda no facto de os segundos lados paralelos terem um comprimento de cerca de 0,28 mm (0,011).- 53 3olsa para colocação de agrafos, caracterizada por compreender um par de primeiros lados paralelos, estando cada um dos referidos primeiros lados paralelos ligado a um par de lados inclinados, estando os referidos lados inclinados deslocados angularmente em rela.so ao referido par de primeiros lados paralelos, estando cada um dos referid.s lados inclinados lig--do na sua extremidade oposta a um par de segundos lados paralelos, tendo a bolsa resultante uma forma genericamente hexagonal.Bolsa de acordo com a reivindicação 5, caracterizada por a referida forma genericamente hexagonal ser perfurada através de uma câmara de cravação num agrafador podendo os agrafos passar através da bolsa pela força de um cravador de agrafos.- 7- Bolsa ae acordo com a reivindicação 5, caracterizada por os lados inclinados estarem deslocados angularmente do primeiro par de lados paralelos segundo um ângulo na gama de cerca de 22,5°.Bolsa de acordo coa a reivindicação d, caracterizada por o segundo par de lados paralelos terem um comprimento compreendido entre 0,2 e 0,23 rnm (0,008 a 0,011 ).A requerente declara çue o primeiro pedido desta patente foi apresentado nos Estados Unidos da América em 18 de Ilarço de 1933, sob o número de série 169,666.
