Abstract

The semi-solid concentrate consists of molasses, mineral nutrients and ground urea, which is partially converted to glucosyl-urea, together with phosphoric acid and sulphur. It is suitable for treatment of straw and other ligno-cellulose materials to increase digestibility in feeding of ruminants. The components are mixed cold in proportions iving a nitrogen:sulphur ratio in the range of 15:1 to 10:1.
