OS SISTEMAS MAIS EVOLUÍDOS UTILIZAM SOFTWARE DE MAPEAMENTO E LOCALIZAÇÃO PARA AUXILIAR NA SUA NAVEGAÇÃO DINÂMICA. ALGUNS DESTES VEÍCULOS INCLUEM TAMBÉM A FUNCIONALIDADE DE SEGUIMENTO, RASTREAMENTO OU PERSEGUIÇÃO DE UM ALVO PRÉ-DETERMINADO. O OBJECTIVO DO SISTEMA PROPOSTO É PERMITIR O ACOMPANHAMENTO DINÂMICO DE UM ALVO ESPECÍFICO, SEJA DE OUTRO SISTEMA SIMILAR PARA PERMITIR MOVIMENTAÇÃO COORDENADA, DE UMA PESSOA, OU DE UM QUALQUER OBJECTO DE INTERESSE. A PRESENTE INVENÇÃO DESCREVE UM MÉTODO PARA FAZER O SEGUIMENTO CONTÍNUO, REDUNDANTE E FIÁVEL DE UM ALVO, COMBINANDO SISTEMAS INTELIGENTES DE VISÃO POR COMPUTADOR COM POSICIONAMENTO ELECTROMAGNÉTICO E SONORO DE FONTES PONTUAIS.A VEHICLE WITH AUTOMATIC GUIDANCE, ALSO CALLED AUTONOMOUS MOBILE ROBOT, IS A SYSTEM THAT ALLOWS AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT ON THE GROUND USING PRE-DEFINED SYSTEMS FOR ITS ACTIVITY. THE MOST EVOLVED SYSTEMS USE MAPPING AND LOCATION SOFTWARE TO ASSIST IN THEIR DYNAMIC NAVIGATION. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES ALSO INCLUDE THE FUNCTIONALITY OF FOLLOWING, TRACKING OR PURSUING A PRE-DETERMINED TARGET. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM IS TO ALLOW DYNAMIC TRACKING OF A SPECIFIC TARGET, EITHER ANOTHER SIMILAR SYSTEM TO ALLOW COORDINATED MOVEMENT, OF A PERSON, OR OF ANY OBJECT OF INTEREST. THE PRESENT INVENTION DESCRIBES A METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS, REDUNDANT AND RELIABLE TRACKING OF A TARGET, COMBINING INTELLIGENT COMPUTER VISION SYSTEMS WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC AND SOUND POSITIONING OF POINT SOURCES.
