Description

Pierwszenstwo Opublikowano: 10. Xl. 1964 48 588 KI. i, 2 MKP C 09 j O ' T -' : Civ UKD Wspóltwórcy wynalazku. Lucjan Wójodki, Warszawa (Polska) Jerzy i Krukowski, Warszawa (Polska) Bohdan Wójcicki, wlasciciele patentu: Warszawa (Polska) Klej polioctanowinylowy Przedmiotem wynalazku jest klej polioctano- winylcwy. Kleje te sa jednak kruche, zwlasz¬ cza w nizszych temperaturach w granicach okolo 0°C.W celu nadania elastycznosci warstwom kleja- cym, wykonanym z tego typu polioctanu winylu, a zastosowanych do klejenia przedmiotów nara¬ zonych na zginanie, 'dodaje sie dotychczas sub¬ stancje plastyfikujace, przewaznie ftalan butylu i fosforan trójkrezylu, w ilsci 10—25% w stosun¬ ku do masy suchego polioctanu winylu. Lucjan Wójodki, Warsaw (Poland) Jerzy and Krukowski, Warsaw (Poland) Bohdan Wójcicki, patent holders: Warsaw (Poland) Polyvinyl acetate adhesive. The subject of the invention is a polyvinyl acetate adhesive. The prior art polyvinyl acetate adhesives for bonding porous bodies such as leather and ceramics are made of polyvinyl acetate with a molecular weight of 30,000 to 100,000 due to the relatively good solubility of these polymers in organic solvents. However, these adhesives are brittle, especially at lower temperatures, around 0 ° C. In order to give elasticity to adhesive layers made of this type of polyvinyl acetate and used for gluing objects exposed to bending, so far a sub-product has been added. plasticizing agents, mainly butyl phthalate and tricresyl phosphate, in an amount of 10-25% by weight of dry polyvinyl acetate. The addition of these plasticizers allows for elastic bonding, but reduces the bonding strength, which, combined with the known flow properties of polyacetate, caused premature failure or even destruction of the bonding. This defect was removed in the adhesive according to of the invention, while increasing the bonding strength by using heavy metal naphthenates as a plasticizer, especially copper or lead cobalt. Experience has shown that the best results are obtained with the use of these naphthenates in an amount of 10-20% by weight based on dry polyacetate of vinyl contained in the adhesive, and it has turned out that the use of heavy metal naphthenates allows for the complete elimination of polyvinyl acetate from the adhesive made of polyvinyl acetate, cellulose esters commonly used in this adhesive, which serve to reduce the phenomenon of swelling of the adhesive under the influence of water. Experiments have shown that good results are obtained with the use of in the adhesive according to the invention of the following composition: Polyvinyl acetate Methyl alcohol Butyl acetate Toluene Cobalt naphthenate PL
