Abstract

Opisany proces dotyczy utleniania gazowej Hg(0) w gazach spalinowych z kotła opalanego węglem. Proces obejmuje wtryskiwanie prekatalizatora utleniacza rtęci cząsteczkowej do gazów spalinowych. Następnie, proces obejmuje utlenianie Hg(0) w gazach spalinowych do postaci rtęci utlenionej, wybranej z grupy składającej się z Hg(I), Hg(II) oraz wtryskiwanie sorbentu rtęci, który miesza się z utlenioną Hg(II) z wytworzeniem związków rtęć utleniona/sorbent. Związki rtęć utleniona/sorbent mogą być następnie zbierane z gazów spalinowych (rura płomienna) z zastosowaniem standardowych technologii wychwytywania pyłu.
