Abstract

The invention relates to a device for providing gap ventilation, for a window, a door or the like. Said device comprises a frame (1) and a leaf (2) as well as a drive rod fitting (6). Said drive rod fitting can be displaced between a closing position, an opening position and a gap opening position in which the leaf (2) can be opened to a gap ventilation position. The inventive device additionally comprises a movable gap opening arm (24) which is pivotally connected to the drive rod fitting (6). A displacement of the drive rod fitting (6) from the closing position to the opening position effects the displacement of the gap opening arm (24) along a trajectory. As a result, the gap opening arm (24) butts against a stop which ensures blockage in the direction of displacement. The gap ventilation device is also characterized in that a pivoting motion of the gap opening arm (24) is effected by further displacing the drive rod fitting (6) and thus the coupling element (25) from the opening position into the gap opening position, interacting with the stop. The gap opening arm (24) thereby opens the leaf (2) to a gap ventilation position.
