Abstract

The hinge has sections (12,14) for joining to the fixed frame (11) and to a leaf (13). It also has a hinge pin (15) whose ends engage in bushes (16,17). One bush has external positioning lugs engaging with recesses (20,20',20") contained in a recess (21) at right angles to the pin and formed in one of the hinge sections. The lugs on the bush are distributed over the bush periphery at intervals in more than two directions. The recess in the hinge-section has one or more smooth wall-sections (22), in which recesses are formed accommodating some of the lugs. The lugs can be of different lengths, typically altering by a few millimetres at a time. One or more lugs can be radiused at the end to match the bush curvature, being adjacent to a correspondingly radiused support on the bush.
