Abstract

In the proposed door or window hinge plate, the spigot component (1) on which the sleeve (2) is placed is provided with a spigot (5) which is mounted in such a way that its height can be altered. An adjustable element (7) in the form of a cap screw (19) engages in a thread (17) cut inside the spigot (5). Axial movement of the adjustable element (7) is prevented by an elevation (15) which protrudes radially into the bore (14). In addition, elevations (15) engage in a groove (11) in the spigot (5), allowing the spigot (5) to move axially but not to rotate. A tool can be inserted through an aperture (22) at the lower end of the spigot section (1). This tool can engage in an inner recess (21) in the adjustable element (7), thereby facilitating adjustment of the height of the spigot (5).
