Dotychczas znane i stosowane urządzenia do homogenizacji ciśnieniowej składa się z jednego lub dwóch zaworów homogenizujących w których przebiega proces homogenizacji. Powoduje to ponadto wzrost gabarytów urządzenia. Zawory homogenizujące umożliwiające realizację jednoczesnego rozdrabniania i ujednorodniania za pomocą jednego zaworu posiadają stosunkowo skomplikowane kształty i wymagają dużej dokładności wykonania.
