Abstract
A blockchain-based random number generation method, the method comprising: time point A begins, and authorization nodes on a blockchain produce sub-random numbers; the sub-random numbers are divided into N fragments, so as to form sub-random number fragments, and encryption is performed on same; the encrypted sub-random number fragment data is respectively sent to each receiving node; the receiving nodes receive the sub-random number fragments and perform decryption on same, and time point A ends; secret data of each received sub-random number is sent to a final random data combiner node; the final random data combiner node recovers the decrypted data into a sub-random number; and the final random data combiner node of the blockchain combines the recovered sub-random number into a final random number, and packages same into a block. Said method introduces secret sharing so as to encrypt a produced sub-random number and divide same into N fragments, such that a random number cannot be known, used, and tampered with by a sub-random number producer and final random number combiner, thus improving the security of a blockchain.
