Abstract

The present invention provides a solid buoyancy material and a preparation method therefor and use thereof. The solid buoyancy material comprises a resin, a hollow glass microsphere A, and a hollow glass microsphere B. Hollow glass microspheres having different particle size distributions, different densities, and different strengths are selected as the hollow glass microsphere A and the hollow glass microsphere B, thereby increasing the filling amount of hollow glass microspheres in a resin matrix and reducing the density of the solid buoyancy material. Because high-strength microspheres having a small particle size can effectively disperse the stress borne by hollow microspheres having a large particle size, the solid buoyancy material can increase the strength of the solid buoyancy material against water pressure. The solid buoyancy material of the present invention further comprises a curing agent, a surface treating agent, and an accelerator. By means of proper selection and compounding of an epoxy resin, the accelerator, and the curing agent, the hygrothermal resistance of the solid buoyancy material can be effectively improved while sufficient strength of the solid buoyancy material against water pressure is provided.
