Abstract
The invention has an object to provide a method for manufacturing a glass product including a step of cleaning off a cerium-based abrasive attached onto a glass without using hot concentrated sulfuric acid and so as to satisfy high-level needs for cleaning, after a step of polishing the glass with the cerium-based abrasive. A method for manufacturing a glass product, the method including: a polishing step of polishing a glass with cerium-based abrasive containing lanthanum and; subsequently a cleaning step of cleaning the glass with a cleaning liquid, in which the cerium-based abrasive containing lanthanum is a LaOF crystal-free abrasive, and the cleaning solution is a cleaning liquid containing at least one of ascorbic acid and erythorbic acid.
