Abstract
Un metodo para remover sulfato de una corriente de agua residual incluye gibbsita y una fuente de calcio para precipitar Etringita desde una corriente de agua residual y producir un efluente con una concentracion reducida de sulfato. La gibbsita en la Etringita precipitada es regenerada mezclando un acido con la Etringita y precipitando las particulas de gibbsita, despues de lo cual las particulas de gibbsita se someten a un proceso de cristalizacion para aumentar el tamano de las particulas que son recicladas de vuelta a la corriente principal
