Abstract

A wrist-mounted electronic device (5) for attaching to a wearer's wrist, comprises: a multi -sectioned keypad unit (42) having a predefined number of keys, wherein the multi- sectioned keypad unit comprises: A first section attached to the device, and additional adjustable sections, wherein the sections are as small as desired, and wherein the quantity of the sections is a function of the sizes of the sections, the quantity of the predefined number of keys and the distance required between the keys, the multi sectioned keypad is configured to move between a closed position and an open position, wherein in open position the sections of the multi -sectioned keypad expand to provide an enlarged, integrated keypad surface wherein at least twelve keys (42) of the predefined number of keys of the keypad unit being thereby arranged on at least two sections of the enlarged surface in a manner to define a layout of three columns and four rows together forming a numbered keypad entering numbers, wherein one of the key columns is located on one of the keypad sections 18(b) and the remaining two keys columns are located on at least another keypad section 18(a).
