Abstract

The nucleic acid upstream of the TIGR protein encoding sequence can be used to diagnose glaucoma. Polymorphisms, base substitutions, base additions located with the upstream and within TIGR exons can also be used to diagnose glaucoma. In addition, polymorphisms, base substitutions, base additions located with the upstream and within TIGR exons can also be used to prognose glaucoma. Specifically disclosed TIGR sequences denoted as SEQ ID NOS 1, 3, 4, 5 8, 12 & 26.
