Abstract

Radio signals from an earth satellite system are used to generate precision time signals at each location, and these signals are used to time-stamp locally recorded event data at each station (12). The recorded data and timestamped data from each station (12) can then be downloaded to a control center (12) and automatically arranged in time sequence with a precision of about one microsecond over the entire network.
