Abstract
I et multibærersystem, så som et DMT-system, må en mottaker være i stand til å gjenvinne en samplingsklokke som er svært nøyaktig synkronisert til en sender-samplings- klokke. Typisk oppnås synkroniseringen ved anvendelse av en reservert bærer, pilotbæreren, som overføres med en bestemt fase. Mottaker-samplingsklokken faselåses deretter til pilotbæreren. Rammetiming kan gjenvinnes ved anvendelse av en korrelasjonsteknikk.
