Abstract

En sylindrisk sil (16) omfatter en innløpsende (11) innrettet til å motta en papirmasse-suspensjon hvorfra uønskede partikler skal separeres, og en rejek- tende (13) for fjerning av separerte partikler. Silen (16) er beregnet for den type trykksilingsanordninger som har rotorringer (9) innrettet til å bevege seg langs en sylindrisk bane nær silens innløpsside. Langstrakte strømningsavledningsele- menter (22>er anordnet på silens innløpsside og er fordelt rundt silens omkrets, idet hvert langstrakte strømningsavledningselement strekker seg på skrå i forhold til silens midtakse og fremover i forhold til rotorvingenes rotasjonsretning som sett fra silens innløpsende (11). Ifølge oppfinnelsen er avstanden mellom nabo- strømningsavledningselementer (22), som sett i silens omkretsretning, mindre enn 6 mm, hvorved det oppnås en høy effektivitet med hensyn til separering av uøn- skede partikler uten at kapasiteten svekkes.
