Abstract

Selektiv katalytisk reduksjon av nitrogenoksidet til nitrogen bevirkes ved å omsette nitrogenoxid, nitrogendioksid eller en blanding derav med et reduksjonsmiddel som består av en alifatisk karaboksylsyre med 1-5 karbonatomer ved en temperatur som spenner fra ca. 250 til ca. 600°C, i nærvær av en katalysator som omfaner et metalloksid hvilket utvelges fra den gruppe som består av vanadiumoksid, kopperoksid, nikJceloksid og jemoksyd, idet katalysatoren bæres på en porøs bærer. The process of the present invention essentially allows to completely reduce the NO to harmless N, in an efficient, environmentally beneficial and cost effective manner.
