Abstract
A nucleic acid encoding a B-lymphocyte specific activator of octamer site-mediated gene transcription that reacts with the POU domain of Oct-1 and Oct-2 to activate gene transcription and protein encoded by the nucleic acid is described. In a further aspect of the invention, host cells containing or expressing such nucleic acids are described, as well as methods of using the nucleic acids and cells transformed therewith.
