Abstract
Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte og et apparat for å skaffe varme til et smeltemetall som strømmer gjennom metall-transporterende apparat. Apparatet omfatter en smeltemetall-transporterende kanal, en inneslutning for mottak og sirkulering av forbrenningsgasser mens innførsel av gassene i kanalen forhindres, en varmeledende materialutforming som atskiller minst en del av kanalen fra inneslutningen; og en forbrenningsanordning for generering av forbrenningsgasser og levering av gassene til inneslutningen. Field of the Invention This invention relates to a method and apparatus for providing heat to a molten metal flowing through a metal transporting apparatus. The apparatus comprises a molten metal conveying duct, a containment for receiving and circulating combustion gases while preventing the introduction of the gases into the duct, a heat conducting material design separating at least a portion of the duct from the containment; and a combustion device for generating combustion gases and delivering the gases to the containment. Heat from the combustion gases is used to heat the molten metal held in the duct while preventing contact between the combustion gases and the molten metal. The material design may be a channel used to form the channel, a pipe for transporting the molten metal, a pipe acting as the enclosure, or the like.
