Abstract

Process for the preparation of thin films with an organic-inorganic structure comprising growing by a solid phase deposition technique, preferably ALCVD (atomic layer chemical vapor deposition) technique. As an example, trimethylaluminum (TMA), hydroquinone (Hq) and floroglusinol (Phl) have been used as precursors for the production of thin films of aluminum benzene oxides constructing a hybrid type film. Further thin films with a hybrid structure are described. These films can be used as an optical material, a pressure sensor, a gas sensor, a temperature sensor, a magnetic field sensor, an electric field sensor, a piezoelectric material, a magnetic material, a semiconducting material or as an electrically insulating material.
