Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelsen introduserer en ny fremgangsmåte og system for å planlegge videokonferansesamtaler og å styre konferanseutstyr fra en mobilkommunikasjonsinnretning, slik som mobiltelefiner og PDA'er. Dette utføres ved å kontrollere et styringssystem, eller i denne sammenheng et Video Conference Management Programme (VCMP), til å sette opp videokonferansesamtaler mellom hvem som helst fra en klientapplikasjon på en mobilkommunikasjonsinnretning. Bruken av et VCMP til å styre samtalene tillater også samtaler mellom protokoller dersom en nettverks gateway er tilgjengelig for bruk. Videre kan en administrator overvåke status for samtalen, og VCMP kan lagre samtalelogger og statistikker.
