Abstract

The method involves moving the barrel (10.2) in steps into measurement positions by turning it about an axis and, at each measurement position, computing a desired value describing the desired barrel position, detecting an actual barrel position value and computing the difference between the desired and actual values defined as the error value. The correction value is determined from several error values and used for subsequent aiming. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for compensating weapon system firing errors and a system computer for a weapon system.
