Abstract
A cutting device comprises a support device (5) in which two substantially circular discs (1, 2) are arranged which have cutting edges and which are mounted freely rotatably. At least one of the discs has along its periphery at least one axially continuous recess (7), which extends radially inwards from the periphery. The discs have portions which in an axial projection of the discs cover each other, and the planes comprising the cutting edges of the respective discs extend with a small mutual distance. The recess is adapted to the transverse dimension of the object (6) to be cut off, the edge of the recess also being designed as a cutting edge. An edge portion of the recess of one disc extends parallel to an adjacent edge portion of the other disc when the object to be cut is inserted into the recess, so that mutual rotation of the discs (1, 2) as a result of the object (6). pressed in the direction of the connecting line between the discs, causes the two discs to exert substantially opposite shear forces against the object (6).
Description
Sammenleggbar kalesje. Foldable canopy.
This invention relates to a folding canopy etc. of the kind that includes a folding, with cloth etc. covered stand, consisting of a number of largely U-shaped winches which are attached at the ends on each side of the canopy to a common circular sector-shaped part, with one of the said winches located in the central area of the canopy firmly connected to the circular sector-shaped parts.
On a smaller scale, such constructions are known as pram canopies. On a larger scale, it may be necessary for the canopy in a folded or partially folded state to allow access to an object under the canopy and for it to be possible to unfold or raise the canopy or fold it together without the object and the canopy construction being displaced in relation to each other. It is then required that the canopy is designed so that it is freely accessible from at least one side when folded or partially folded. Closing and opening will then have to be carried out from one or more of the other sides. When the object to be placed under the canopy occupies a floor area that is relatively small in relation to its height, the canopy should preferably have such a shape that in its combined state it also occupies relatively little floor space in relation to its height.
As mentioned at the outset, the canopy comprises a number of U-shaped slats which are joined at the ends into common circular sector-shaped parts. In order to meet the above-mentioned requirements with regard to the canopy's function, the canopy according to the invention is designed so that each of the circular sector-shaped parts is arranged on a rod system which serves to raise and lower the sector-shaped parts in relation to a base or a support. The rod system can be moved mechanically, hydraulically or pneumatically.
The other features of the invention appear from the subordinate claims.
An embodiment of the invention shall be explained as an example with reference to the drawings which show a canopy in accordance with the invention and in connection with hydraulic or pneumatic operating devices.
5 viser kalesjen helt i utfoldet tilstand. In the drawings, fig. 1 a plan view of a canopy in assembled condition, fig. 2 a side view of the canopy according to fig. 1, fig. 3 a side view of fig. 2 with the canopy partially unfolded, fig. 4 another phase during the opening of the canopy, and fig. 5 shows the canopy in its fully unfolded state. Fig. 6, 7 and 8 show on a larger scale details of the locking device in the embodiment according to fig. 1 to 5 and in the position of the rod system as shown in fig. 2, 3 and 4.
2. In fig. 1 and 2 show two support beams 1, 2, on which the canopy construction is placed. Each of the beams 1, 2 is equipped with a weight bar system comprising a first bar 3 which is connected approximately in the middle to another bar 5 by means of a pin or bolt 4 and which at one end by means of a pin 6 is connected to one or more movable rollers 7 arranged to roll between guides in the beams 1 or 2.
The other end of each of the rods 3 is connected by a pin 8 to a sector-shaped stand part 9, and each of the rods 5 is connected to one of the beams 1, 2 by means of a pin 10.
Each of the rod systems 3, 5 can be moved in relation to the beams 1, 2 by means of a piston sewing Sub-unit 11, where the cylinder is single-acting and operated from a source of pneumatic or hydraulic pressure medium.
Each of the circular sector-shaped rack parts 9 can be moved in relation to the rod 3 by means of a double-acting piston cylinder unit comprising two piston rods 12, 12'. The two stand parts 9 are connected by means of several arc-shaped splines 13. One of the splines 13' in the middle zone is rigidly connected to the stand parts 9, while the other splines are articulated at 14.
When the canopy is in the folded position, as shown in fig. 2, the slats 13, 13' lie with their parts facing away from the joint points 14 on each other and on the substrate.
In fig. 3, the canopy is shown in a partially raised position obtained after the piston rods 11<*> in the pistons 11 have been put into operation. The pivot points 8 are then shifted vertically in relation to the floor by means of the rod systems 3, 5 and the stand parts 9 are pivoted in relation to the position in fig. 2. The splines 13' are then angularly displaced in the same way as the rack parts 9 and the result is that the splines 13 are played out.
The extent of the angular displacement of the ribs in relation to each other is determined or limited by the cloth 14 which is attached to the outside of the slats 13 and which covers them completely.
The cloth extends from the winch 13 which is located closest to the floor or another surface to a part of the floor 15 etc., and to which it is attached.
Fig. 4 viser neste trinn under åpningen. Fig. 4 shows the next step during the opening. The sector parts 9 are now pivoted in relation to the slats 13 so that the fabric between the slats 13' and the floor 15 is stretched out. The slats that are located on the other side remain in the folded position because a piston sewing Sub-unit 16 placed within the slats 13 holds them together by means of steel wires 21 which are guided over guide discs 17, 18, 19 and 20.
In fig. 5, the canopy is shown in a fully open position, provided with the aid of the unit 16. The openings that remain between the bottom slat 13, the stand part 9, the rod 3 and the beams 1,2 can be closed with loose flaps, doors etc.
As can be seen from fig. 3, 4 and 5, the canopy is opened by successive operation of the cylinder units 11, 12 and 16.
Sammenlegning av kalesjen skjer i motsatt rekkefølge. Folding the canopy takes place in the opposite order.
