Abstract

The apparatus comprises at least two platforms which are positioned on one another, the dimensions of a platform located at a lower level being larger than those of a platform positioned on top of it. The platforms are preferably positioned concentrically on top of one another. The platforms may be round, square, triangular or oval. If appropriate, an intermediate component may be accommodated between a platform located at a higher level and a platform located beneath it, in order to change the difference in height between the two platforms.

TOOL FOR PERFORMING PHYSICAL EXERCISES

The invention relates to an aid for performing physical exercises.

Nowadays there are different types of physical exercises, which may or may not be performed to music. Examples thereof are callanetics, aerobics, aqua jogging and the like. In some forms of these exercises, aids are used. In step aerobics, for example, a square platform is used, the so-called "step", where the user gets on and off. By varying the tempo and the way of getting on and off, a training of the condition and the body is obtained. The disadvantage of the known step is that due to its shape only a limited number of exercises is possible. For a user, this will eventually lead to habituation and boredom.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide an improved step with which multiple movement and choreographic possibilities are created and more intensive training is possible.

To this end, the invention provides an aid for performing physical exercises, comprising at least two plateaus placed one on top of the other, the dimensions of a plateau larger placed further down than the dimensions of a plateau placed thereon.

Since at least two "steps" are provided in this way, many more exercises are possible, resulting in a more intensive and varied exercise.

It has been found to be particularly advantageous from a choreographic point of view when the plateaus are round in shape. Other shapes, such as triangles, squares, polygons, ovals or combinations of two or more of these, are also possible. The oval shape in particular has the advantage that it can be used by two or more people at the same time, which further expands the number of possibilities for movement.

Preferably, the different plateaus are placed concentrically on top of each other, so that the boarding space is approximately the same everywhere.

A plateau placed higher is preferably at least partly sunk into the plateau placed below it. This provides a kind of locking of the parts relative to each other.

In order to obtain even more possible movement combinations, the plateaus are preferably adjustable in height relative to each other. This can be achieved, for example, in that an intermediate element is arranged between a higher placed plateau and the plateau placed below it. The intermediate element can for instance be adjustable in height by means of a bayonet lock.

Other possibilities are also conceivable, such as a type of screw thread in the largest plateau, which cooperates with a screw thread on the intermediate element and which specific heights have means for locking the intermediate element in a certain position.

An asymmetrical shape of the intermediate elements and / or the large platform with which height adjustment can be achieved by placing the element and platform relative to each other could also be possible.

The invention further relates to an aid for performing physical exercises, comprising one round step-up member. Unlike the known square steps, such an aid offers much more choreographic possibilities. '

In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the aid consists of a first plateau, which is provided with an axially extending recess, the size of which is smaller at one end than its other end, and a second smaller plateau, consisting of two parts of different dimensions exists, another such that the two portions of the second tray can be received in the corresponding recesses of the first tray. Because of this construction, in one possible arrangement, the portion of the second tray with the small size can be placed on the side of the recess with the small size. This causes the portion of the small, large-sized plateau to protrude above the first plateau, thereby forming a dual step aid. In the alternative, the second plateau can be completely included in the first plateau. In such a case a flat plateau is created, which can serve as a conventional step. Of course, the shape of the flat platform may differ from the square shape of the conventional scooter.

The top of the different platforms is preferably provided with an anti-slip layer.

The present invention will be further elucidated with reference to the annexed drawings, where like numerals refer to like parts, and in which: figure 1 shows a partly broken away perspective view of an aid according to the invention with three possible top plateaus; figure 2 shows a perspective view with disassembled parts, as well as a side view of an aid according to the invention provided with an intermediate element; Figure 3 shows an embodiment of the invention in which the small plateau can be incorporated in the large plateau in two ways, this figure showing one of both ways; and Figure 4 shows the second way of using the embodiment, as shown in Figure 3.

Figure 1 shows a simple embodiment of the invention. A large plateau 1 is provided with an opening 2. The opening 2 can be covered by a smaller plateau 3. However, it is also possible, and for safety reasons, to use a second small plateau 4 or 5, which has a section 6, 7 with a smaller cross-section. then includes the rest 8, 9 of the small plateau. The cross section of the parts 6 and 7 is such that the trays 4 and 5 can be sunk into the opening 2 of tray 1.

A more flexible embodiment of the invention is shown in figure 2. The height of the small tray 3 is adjustable by whether or not an intermediate ring 10 is fitted. The intermediate ring 10 may optionally be provided with a recess (not shown) for receiving therein. of a portion of plateau 3 with a smaller diameter (not shown).

Figures 3 and 4 show an embodiment of the invention with which, with a combination of shelves, both the aid of at least two floors according to the invention and an aid consisting of only one floor can be manufactured. The base plate 1 is provided with two types of recesses 11 and 12 with different cross sections. When used in the position, as shown in Figure 3, the narrow portion 13 of platform 14 will fit into recess 12 of platform 1. As seen in the cross-section, this creates a two-step aid. When platform 1 is turned over to the position shown in figure 4, the platform 14 with its small section 13 can be received in recess 12 and with its large section 15 in recess 11. This creates a completely flat aid as shown in the side view. Plateau 14 can of course also be slid into plateau 1 from below. Then one floor is created and no reversal of platform 1 is necessary. In the drawing, the two plateaus 14 are slightly different in shape. All this is of course related to the shape of the recess and the desired height of the second platform. A one-storey aid can be obtained in a more simple manner by accommodating a recess with the cross section and depth of the narrow part 13 of plateau 14 in a further fully closed plateau 1. In such a case, the recess does not run through the whole shelf 1, but the underside of shelf 1 remains closed. Hereby, by simply removing plateau 14 and turning plateau 1 away, a one-story attachment can be obtained (not shown).

In addition to the round embodiment shown in the figures, the invention can of course also be embodied in various other forms. The advantage of a round embodiment is that it offers many different choreographic options for performing exercises.

In summary, the invention includes an aid for performing physical exercises in a choreographically attractive form, comprising one, two or more floors, which may be optionally adjustable in height independently of each other.
