Propanolamine derivs. of formula (I) and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts are new: (n and n1 = 1-3; R and R1 are each same or different H, halo, 1-6C haloalkyl, OH, 1-6C alkoxy or opt. substd. alkyl, aryl(1-6C)-alkyl or aryl(1-6C)alkoxy (both opt. substd.), NO2, NR5R6, or two adjacent gps. are together OCH2O; R2 = H, opt. substd. 1-12C alkyl or aryl(1-6C)alkyl; R3 and R4 = H, 1-6C opt. substd. alkyl, 2-4C alkenyl or alkynyl, aryl(1-4C)alkyl (opt. substd.), 3-7C cycloalkyl (opt. substd.) or R3 + R4 complete a monocyclic 5 or 6 member heterocycle which may be unsatd. or satd. opt. substd. and or contain further O, S or N atoms; R2 and R4 may also together be CH2CH2; R5 and R6 = H or 1-6C alkyl).
