Abstract

The impeller pump is particularly intended for waste water. It comprises a housing, a drive shaft with hub (1) carrying blades (2, 2') and guide blades. The leading edge (5, 5') of each blade includes a receding angle (alpha) with the radial. The angle may be between 10 deg. and 90 deg. pref. between 30 deg. and 60 deg. The leading edge profile may be approx. semi-circular with a radius approx. half the largest thickness of the aerofoil section.
